City Council Meeting Tomorrow Evening

A range of development issues will be discussed at tomorrow evening’s City Council meeting, including the issue of the intermodal transit center, which may or may not take shape as the Szabo plan we have spoken out against as a community.
There will be a vote on a measure stating that the “transit facilities will also provide a variety of opportunities to the sub region thereby reducing traffic congestion on the I-80 corridor.”
Here is a link to the agenda. The measure above is agenda item IX-8.
We have discovered over the past few weeks that it is the intention of some members of City Council and the City Manager to develop Parcel D in big-box fashion, creating a regional hub or launching pad, complete with a large parking structure with waterfront views and a four-lane highway, which goes away from everything the Waterfront was supposed to be, namely a walkable community.
The measure seemingly deals mostly with funding and does not explicitly state which plan will ultimately be accepted, either the abhorred Szabo plan or the community-accepted Anderson-Pacific plan, although it is possible for the City Manager to use this measure to push forward with the Szabo plan.
I will try to make it to the meeting, and I hope to see you there.
