Frog Pad Park Underway

— by Jeffrey Wisniewski — 22 April 2008 — Comments Off

After years of delays, construction of Frog Pad Park — at the corner of Willet and Sycamore — has begun this week. The duration of construction is supposed to be roughly six weeks. The contractors are currently removing fill from the site — upwards of eight feet in some places — to bring the site down to final grade.

Frog Pad Park will be the first park constructed for the Waterfront communities of Baywood and Promenade, and will include a playground and sitting areas. It has been confirmed with the City that they have learned their lesson and the park will not include a restroom. (The park in Bayside included one, but the City has since locked the doors due to vandalism and maintenance costs.)
