City Council Meeting on Tuesday

The City Council — acting as the Redevelopment Agency at the City Council meeting on Tuesday — 7pm @ City Hall — will execute an agreement to furnish geotechnical recommendations for the proposed inter-modal transit center and parking structure.
The language in the proposal from the engineering firm references the Szabo plan, however, from what I have been able to find out, it may not be the Szabo plan we are familiar with, but a Szabo plan. In the proposal, dated June 5, the geotechnical consultant writes, “We understand the ‘Szabo Plan’ as referenced in our letter [dated May 2, 2008] has been selected as the basis for further planning and design.” The development scheme mentioned, however, does not reflect the Szabo plan, and more accurately represents aspects of the Anderson-Pacific plan, namely a bus loop and the proposed location of the rail station (on the south side of Refugio Creek).
The complete agenda is available on the City’s website.
