No Electricity

As many Waterfront residents discovered this morning, there was a power outage that started at some point during the evening. In fact, it may still be in effect. I didn’t have the HMU phone number (and I recycle all phone books upon arrival), so I called the police, and asked if they knew of the problem. The person told me that HMU was aware, but they had not yet provided any updates as to when the problem will be fixed. She also told me that the HMU phone number is 799-8200. I dialed that number, but that took me to the front desk of City Hall, and there was a message greeting me and informing me that I had called before business hours.
UPDATE: Residents report that service was restored around 8:30am.
