Balico’s Regional Appointments Come Amidst Reports of Impropriety

A City press release states that “Hercules City Councilmember Ed Balico was recently appointed to serve as the Vice Chair of the Contra Costa Mayors’ Conference [and] has also been appointed by the Contra Costa Mayors’ Conference to the Contra Costa Transit Authority’s (CCTA) Board of Directors.”
This is promising news, as the City will have a more effectual influence on the region, but I do find his appointments somewhat confusing following the disheartening reports of his potential appearances of impropriety.
