The agenda for tonight’s Redevelopment Agency meeting made the news…
Hercules council to consider big-ticket items
By Tom LochnerThe Hercules City Council will consider two million-dollar-plus allocations Tuesday night.
Sitting as the Hercules Redevelopment Agency board, the council will consider authorizing the disbursement of about $8.2 million to Hercules LLC, the developer of the Victoria by the Bay subdivision. The sum constitutes part of the approximately $35 million the city has determined it owes Hercules LLC, which seeks about $90 million.
Hercules LLC has sued the city; the suit is scheduled for trial in May.
The board also will consider a $1.2 million contract with HDR Engineering for additional work related to the Waterfront Project and Intermodal Transit Center. HDR has provided consultant services for the city since 2005 on railroad-related features of the transit center.
The council will meet in open session at 7 p.m. at Hercules City Hall, 111 Civic Drive.
