Times: Hundreds of West Contra Costa teachers, employees to get pink slips

I am not sure what this means for the Hercules schools in particular… “More than 100 of the [pink slip] notices will go to elementary school teachers as the district attempts to increase the number of students per classroom to save money. Also to be targeted are 30 middle and high school teachers and 53 in specialized roles. Twenty-one administrator positions, including three principals and three vice principals, were eliminated, as were 35 classified employees, including 23 custodians and five after-school program coordinators.“
