Correction: Bayfront Bridge Not Underway

Appearances can be deceiving. The City has confirmed that the construction work is actually temporary; a pad is being built for the soil investigation and eventual design of the bridge.

Upon further examination, the location of the pad — currently on the north side of Refugio Creek — actually represents the approximate location of the mid-span support for the bridge. The final alignment of the creek will be to the north (or east) of the mid-span support.
