Radar Sign Relocated

This past month, the radar sign that was inefficiently installed at the top of the San Pablo Avenue grade from Pinole was relocated further north along San Pablo, and is now a couple hundred feet shy of the first entrance into the Chase Bank — formerly Washington Mutual — plaza parking lot (or whatever that plaza is called).
Councilmember Kris Valstad mentioned the relocated speed radar sign during his remarks at the last City Council meeting…
Disclaimer: The manufacturer RadarSign has asked that I make reference that the radar sign mentioned in this post (and previous related posts) is not a product of RadarSign.

“…the Chase Bank — formerly Washington Mutual — plaza parking lot (or whatever that plaza is called).”

I think the name is officially “Kinder’s Strip Mall of Very Tasty BBQ”, but I could be wrong.
I’m fairly certain the name is NOT:
“CHASE-MUTUAL Mall of Mortgage-Backed Securities and Subprime Toxic Assets.”
I heard that was the original plan, but it wouldn’t fit on the tall sign visible from I-80.
We like ours, it has really slowed traffic to the speed limit, http://www.radarspeeddisplays.com has an assortment of these signs.
I represent a company called RadarSign which produces driver feedback signs. Because our brand name is also the product, please allow me to clarify the sign mentioned in this article is NOT one of our products. RadarSign – the company – in fact, has set the standard for installation and customer support on our driver feedback signs. Thank you for allowing us to clarify.
A quick comment on this article from RadarSign’s director of sales and marketing, Charlie Robeson: “Too bad they purchased from a company that doesn’t provide enough support to even comment on a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ location. We have a whole webpage devoted to best practices when doing a sign location.”
Our neighborhood does not use the signs mentioned by the council member. We had very good instructions.
