Hercules council to consider restaurant lease at historic building
By Tom Lochner

A restaurant lease at the Civic Arts building is on the consent calendar of a Hercules City Council meeting Tuesday.

A staff report was not available Friday. But City Manager Nelson Oliva said the lease with Sala Thai Restaurant for the city-owned building will be for 10 years, with two five-year renewal options, starting at $1.65 per square foot per month.

The building is 2,100 square feet, which would put the rent at $3,465 a month.

The rent will increase by 2.5 percent each year starting at the end of the third year, Oliva said.

The council meets at 7 p.m. at Hercules City Hall, 111 Civic Drive.
