Redevelopment additions to be aired at public hearing
by Tom LochnerThe Hercules Updated 2009 Redevelopment Plan will be the subject of the Planning Commission’s public hearing on Monday.
The hearing will cover the final environmental impact report for the plan, which adds the Sycamore Crossing and Hilltown sites to the Redevelopment Area, formally known as the Merged Dynamite and Project Area No. 2 Project Areas.
The updated plan also adds 10 years to the Dynamite Project Area portion, extending its term from 2026 to 2036.
The hearing also will discuss a proposed zoning amendment for Sycamore Crossing and Hilltown.
The Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the City Council chamber, 111 Civic Drive, Hercules.
