Fence Removed Around Historic Homes

Sometime yesterday,* the temporary fencing surrounding the historic homes along Railroad Avenue south of Main Street was removed. I assume this was a temporary measure before the installation of more adequate fencing, and potentially related to the whitewashing “improvements” to the blighted structures. As of this evening however, the buildings remain unsecured (although the previous fencing proved to be not much of a deterrent).
* UPDATE — Some residents say that the fence has been down since early last week.
