A costly City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening, 7pm at City Hall, including the adoption of a five-year capital improvement spending plan in the amount of $108 million. Other items on the agenda…

  • Completion of (the hideous) Tsushima Bridge. Cost: $13k.
  • Completion of EIR for Updated Redevelopment Area. Cost: $27k.
  • Construction of Sycamore Downtown/North. Cost: $56m.
  • Adopt ordinances regarding the Updated Redevelopment Area (which now includes Hilltown and Sycamore Crossing).
  • Sign/extend leases for the Powder Keg and Hercules Fitness.
  • Installation of wick drains for the John Muir Parkway extension and transit loop. Cost: $1.08m.
  • Engineering work for planned automotive center on Palm Avenue. Cost: $114k.
