In my opinion, both will work and fit the Waterfront context, and that can only be construed as a good thing.

    Aside from the brutal coldness of the plaza in both alternatives, I prefer #1.

    @Richard – We were told last night that the plazas were purposely left bare — along with a rather benign cafe building — so people can concentrate on the station itself.

    Does anybody know when they plan to begin work on the transit center?
