Google Maps Errors

As I assume like many others, I rely on Google Maps for the accuracy of its cartographic projections. But this morning I noticed a few obvious errors.

Most prominent is at the intersection of Sycamore and San Pablo, where apparently:

  • the local Little League plays its games;
  • the Jack-in-the-Box plaza cut-through is an official but unnamed street; and
  • Willow Avenue and San Pablo Avenue are one in the same.

And in the Waterfront, not only are the parking alleys now unnamed streets, but Railroad Avenue is the temporary dirt-bike trail behind the live-works, and a new paper street — Kings Avenue — has emerged, leading drivers to the bluff over the railroad tracks…
