City Council Meeting Tomorrow

The City Council will vote to develop a ballot measure (at a cost of $36k) that will likely raise LLAD fees at its first meeting of the year — Tuesday, 7pm at City Hall. (Any proposed rise in fees needs to be matched with increased City accountability and enforcement of its third-party contracts. The City Manager has promised to improve the City’s contract management practices.)

The City Council — sitting as the Redevelopment Agency — will hold a public hearing on its five-year implementation plan for the now-larger Dynamite Redevelopment Area.

The City Council will also vote to symbolically support a proposed state ballot initiative that aims to protect local tax dollars, which would “prevent the taking of local taxpayer funds currently dedicated to cities, counties, special districts and redevelopment agencies.

The complete agenda is available on the City’s website.
