Sycamore Downtown Announces Café as First Tenant

Bean Bag Cafe is the first tenant that has signed a lease for Sycamore North, the first phase of Sycamore Downtown that is currently under construction (the second phase is Sycamore Crossing). The cafe will assume a prime space in the middle of the development, one of the four retail spaces that are planned as restaurants.

At Saturday’s Community Update event, a representative of Main Street Property Services — the firm contracted to retain quality tenants for the future retail development and are marketing the project as “Sycamore Avenue”1 — handed out fliers with Yelp reviews from the cafe’s existing location in San Francisco.

No opening date has been established for Bean Bag Cafe or Sycamore North.

  1. Yet another name. The project has been known as Sycamore Main Street, Sycamore Downtown, Sycamore North, and now Sycamore Avenue. Sycamore Avenue is probably the most marketable; think Solano Avenue. These people are professionals.

I have been to the Bean Bag Cafe in the city and enjoyed it. The place has a good vibe and tasty sangria. :)
