The City Council will approve $1.1m in subcontractor fees for NEO Consulting (doing business as the Affordable Housing Solutions Group) to conduct the City’s embattled Affordable Housing agency at Tuesday evening’s meeting — 7pm at City Hall.
Tom Lochner reports in the Contra Costa Times…
The NEO list of contract renewals for 2010-11 on Tuesday’s consent calendar include: Affordable Housing Program, $408,500; Sycamore North management, $240,000; Community Beautification Program, $150,000; Portfolio Administration and Compliance, $60,000; General Administration Support, $120,000; and Business Development Loan Program, $50,000. The list also includes a program that was not on the previous year’s list: Wastewater Treatment Plant Development services, $90,000.
The Council will also hold a public hearing on the Redevelopment Agency’s operating budget for the next fiscal year and the five-year capital improvement plan.
Also on the lengthy agenda:
- Set aside parks bond money to assist Muir Heritage Land Trust in purchase of Franklin Canyon property. Cost: $200k.
- Demolition of former wastewater treatment facility at current site of the City’s corporation yard (and future site of Sycamore Park and an elementary school). Cost: $415k.
- Extend water main to proposed Palm Avenue auto center (a project now on hold). Cost: $95k.
- Initial study for restoration of Ohlone Creek on Sycamore Crossing project site (erroneously referred to as Refugio Creek). Cost: $28k.
The complete agenda is available on the City’s website.
