John Delgado, Dan Romero Rumored to be Running for City Council

Rumors persist that both John Delgado and Dan Romero will run for City Council this November. I am unable to confirm the rumor at this time, but I can confirm that the two are strongly considering it. (I will post updated information as it becomes available.)
John Delgado ran in 2008 and lost in an automatic recount against Don Kuehne, who has since demonstrated that he is incapable of performing in the position (or at least lacks the effort necessary to exact change as promised; Kuehne has arguably been a disaster). Dan Romero has been an outspoken critic of the current Council of late. Both are considered outsiders and represent a potential change in transparency and accountability for the now-embattled City Council.
Two council seats will be on this November’s ballot — those held by Mayor Kris Valstad and Councilmember Joe Eddy McDonald. Neither have confirmed they intend to run for reelection, but sources close to both councilmembers suggest they will. (I’d still be surprised if McDonald announced he’s running, since he plainly hates the job.)

I am happy to see that there will be a challenge to existing incumbents.
I am most interested in finding what Romero and Delgado have to offer.
There need to be some checks and balances on this council.
Integrity needs to be emphasized and the public confidence restored.
How do these candidates plan to do this?
