This makes complete sense… “The Contra Costa civil grand jury is accusing Hercules of questionable practices and a lack of transparency in its affordable housing and business loan programs.”

Hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars are being funneled to the city manager’s “former” business ostensibly run by his teenage daughters. WHERE is the City Council?
WHY are they approving these no bid sweetheart deals and placing them on the consent calendar, where no public discussion occurs?
Balico, Valstad, Ward, Macdonald, Kuehne … you are either asleep at the wheel. or complicit in the fleecing of the public. Either way, it demonstrates that you are not fit for public office.
Hercules deserves better. Surely there are individuals in the city with integrity and ethics who are willing to run for office?
