Times: Owner of housing firm denies conflict in relationship with city of Hercules

Councilman Don Kuehne then asked [NEO general manager Walter] McKinney to comment on public concern about possible conflicts of interest in the administration of affordable housing programs.
“I know of no conflicts of interest,” McKinney said. “I am now the owner of NEO Consulting … actually … my company is.
“I have several companies,” McKinney continued. “I do business in various ventures, and one of my companies has purchased NEO Consulting … not me personally, but my company … although I’m the sole owner of that company, with my wife, so, no conflicts of interest.”
That is a direct quote. No wonder no one knew.
