Times: Two Hercules city council candidates confirmed, third pending

It’s official. Joe Eddy McDonald is running for re-election… “Incumbent Kris Valstad, the current mayor, and planning commissioner Myrna deVera have been qualified by the Contra Costa County Election Office, said city clerk Doreen Mathews. The other incumbent, Joe Eddy McDonald, handed in his papers Friday and is expected to qualify this week, Mathews said.”
And McDonald plainly hates the job. (Retirement doesn’t come easy, I guess.)
With John Delgado and Dan Romero expected to file their papers in the near future, it’ll be a five-person race for the two seats.
Anybody but rubber stamp valstad and joe clown!
I am in hopes that McDonald runs again. It is maybe the only honest thing he has.
