Times: Crowded field seeks seats on Rodeo-Hercules fire board

I have no idea what to make of this race… “Seven candidates, including a single incumbent, are competing for three seats on the board of the Rodeo-Hercules Fire District as it struggles with budget deficits, lawsuits and questions about its future viability as an independent agency. [...] The candidates are Bob Herwat, a retired steamfitter and former Rodeo Sanitary District board member; Bill Kelly, an attorney and retired San Francisco police officer; Jeff Miller, a retired Rodeo-Hercules fire captain; Manly Moulton, a Richmond fire captain and member of the Rodeo Municipal Advisory Council; incumbent Bill Prather, a real estate broker, retired Richmond fire captain and a board member since 1994; Raemona Williams, a San Francisco fire captain; and Donald Richardson, a Hercules Middle/High School teacher and former route supervisor for Richmond Sanitary Service.

Go Mr. Bill Kelly…….time for new voice on this District panel and with Bills background, he will be a strong asset in this elected position.

I grew up a few houses down (in Rodeo) from Manly Moulton and his family. Very nice guy, very nice family. Always a good kid and respectful to adults and neighbors. He’s also got the requisite experience for this position. He’s got my vote.
