Tom Lochner reports on the reorganization… “Continuing a restructuring of Hercules’ city government that he began at the end of last month, interim City Manager Charlie Long will ask the City Council tonight to approve the creation of several positions, including director of a new Municipal Services Department. [...] The Municipal Services Department is supposed to ‘eliminate the scattering of essential resources and information and allow for the appropriate grouping of all of the City’s municipal services,’ the staff report notes.

Why are these jobs not being posted per most government jobs. The resolution for these jobs should include exactly what the postion entails. Mr. Long said that his city managers report would have this information but I feel that this should be part of the resolution process. If I didn’t know better, I think we lost our public works department. I know that there are city workers doing their jobs but I think that public works got incorporated into Municipal Services Dept.

Sakamoto is a serious crook, he needs to be in jail. Does he even know how to make an honest living?
